Ribuan Demonstran di Amerika Latin Tolak Intersepsi Israel Terhadap Armada Global Sumud Menuju Gaza

Protes terjadi di beberapa lokasi seperti Mexico City, Bogota, Montevideo, dan Buenos Aires.
Di Bogota, sekelompok demonstran berkumpul di depan Asosiasi Bisnis Nasional Kolombia (ANDI), yang mewakili sektor swasta negara tersebut.
Lokasi tersebut dipilih karena organisasi tersebut memiliki hubungan langsung dengan misi ekonomi Israel di Kolombia.
Tetapi, asosiasi tersebut kemudian mengeluarkan pernyataan yang membantah tuduhan tersebut.
Di ibu kota Argentina, Buenos Aires, ratusan orang juga berpartisipasi dalam protes intersepsi armada Sumud.
Para demonstran mengecam apa yang telah dilakukan Israel dan menuntut diakhirinya genosida di Gaza.
“Kami di sini hari ini untuk menuntut kebebasan rekan-rekan kami dan armada, serta memastikan bantuan kemanusiaan dan makanan sampai ke Gaza,” ujar seorang pengunjuk rasa.
Protes juga terjadi di ibu kota Uruguay, Montevideo, di mana para aktivis meneriakkan kebebasan Palestina dan membawa atribut-atribut yang berisikan pemenjaraan PM Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.
Sementara itu, para demonstran Meksiko berkumpul di luar Kementerian Luar Negeri di Mexico City.
Mereka menyerukan agar semua anggota armada Sumud dibebaskan, termasuk tujuh warga negara Meksiko yang ditahan oleh pasukan Israel.
David Pena, perwakilan hukum delegasi Meksiko di Global Sumud Flotilla, memberikan pernyataan bahwa Israel berencana mendakwa para tahanan dengan tuduhan memasuki wilayah Israel secara ilegal meskipun mereka dicegat di perairan internasional. (Tribun-Video.com)
