California Gov. Gavin Newsom spoke to the media after unveiling an electoral map redistricting plan for the state. He was joined by Rep. Maxine Waters (D) and Sen. Adam Schiff (D).Ahead of next year's midterm elections, California is joining the national battle over congressional redistricting. "Today is liberation day in the state of California," Two-term Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom said. "Donald Trump, you have poked the bear and we will punch back."
"DONALD ‘TACO’ TRUMP, AS MANY CALL HIM, ‘MISSED’ THE DEADLINE!!! CALIFORNIA WILL NOW DRAW NEW, MORE ‘BEAUTIFUL MAPS,’ THEY WILL BE HISTORIC AS THEY WILL END THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY (DEMS TAKE BACK THE HOUSE!)," Newsom wrote this week in a social media post, appearing to mock how President Trump writes his own social media posts.
