Kabar baiknya, diketahui beliau tidak mengalami krisis pernapasan lebih lanjut sejak kemarin malam.
Menurut laporan dari Vatikan, Paus mengalami gagal ginjal ringan.
Namun diketahui Paus masih dapat mengikuti Misa Kudus bersama perawatnya di rumah sakit Gemelli, Roma.
"Pagi ini, di apartemen lantai sepuluh, ia mengikuti Misa Kudus bersama dengan mereka yang telah merawatnya selama hari-hari dirawat di rumah sakit," ungkap pernyataan itu.
Dokter menyebutkan bahwa gagal ginjal bisa membaik dengan pengobatan, meskipun tetap harus dipantau.
