Líderes árabes y musulmanes se reunirán en Catarpara denunciar el ataque israelí

Catar ha anunciado que organizará una cumbre árabe-islámica de emergencia el 15 de septiembre para denunciar el ataque de Israel contra funcionarios de Hamás en Doha y mostrar solidaridad con el Estado del Golfo. El portavoz del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores catarí, Majed Al Ansari, ha asegurado que los ministros de Asuntos Exteriores de los países árabes e islámicos se reunirán este domingo para preparar un borrador de declaración para la reunión de líderes del lunes. Al Ansari subrayó que la cumbre refleja la solidaridad árabe e islámica con Catar para hacer frente a lo que describió como la "cobarde agresión israelí", dirigida contra las residencias de varios dirigentes de Hamás en Doha. Según los analistas, el objetivo de la cumbre es trazar líneas rojas claras y acabar con la sensación en Israel de que puede actuar con impunidad. Catar, que alberga la mayor base estadounidense de la región, desempeña un papel de mediación en el conflicto de Gaza junto a Estados Unidos y Egipto.
