Diketahui mantan Wakapolri sekaligus eks Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi (MenPAN-RB) itu merupakan sosok terdekat Jusuf Kalla.
Almarhum merupakan ajudan JK selama lima tahun saat menjabat sebagai Wakil Presiden (Wapres).
Jusuf Kalla mengungkapkan, mantan ajudannya itu merupakan sosok yang sangat baik dalam menjalankan tugasnya.
"Beliau sangat berwibawa dan selalu melaksanakan tugas dengan baik," ujar JK, Kamis (20/2/2025).
Menurut JK, Syafruddin dikenal ramah dan peduli terhadap orang lain.
Setelah pensiun, Syafruddin tetap aktif dalam kegiatan sosial dan keagamaan.
"Beliau masih mengurus sosial, keagamaan, dan pengajian," tambah JK.
Sebagai informasi, Syafruddin Kambo meninggal dunia di Rumah Sakit Pusat Pertamina (RSPP), Kamis (20/2/2025).
Ia menghembuskan napas terakhir pada pukul 18.14 WIB.
Kabar duka ini dikonfirmasi oleh Kepala Biro Penerangan Masyarakat Divisi Humas Polri, Brigjen Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko.
"Mohon doa, semoga Allah mengampuni dosa-dosa Beliau dan menempatkannya di surga," ujar Truno.
