March 22, 1989 - A Detroit native and graduate of both Cass Tech and Wayne State University, Tom Wilson worked his way up through the Pistons ranks until he eventually ascended to president of Palace Sports & Entertainment, a position he held for over 20 years. In 1989, Wilson was already working behind the scenes while also dabbling in contributions on the mic, occasionally bopping in as color commentator on Pistons basketball broadcasts on PASS sports.Here, he breaks down the '89 Pistons in the lead-up to a postseason run that'd ultimately culminate in the team's first NBA championship.
There's also a fair amount of footage included from the Pistons' 112-96 March 8th win over the Seattle SuperSonics.
