Tem lá no Uruguai a Latin NCAP, que faz crash tests para verificar o nível de proteção aos ocupantes dos veículos e confere de zero a cinco estrelas de acordo com o resultado.O último que a Latin NCAP anunciou foi do Peugeot 2008, e já se imaginava que o resultado seria o pior possível. E não deu outra: uma das cinco estrelas possíveis, o que não é difícil de explicar. A Stellantis não paga a Latin NCAP para realizar os testes, os uruguaios que comprem o carro.
A Volkswagen, ao contrário, só recebe quatro ou cinco estrelas. Fácil imaginar por que, não? E alguns veículos da imprensa sequer questionam os métodos e os critérios adotados pela Latin NCAP. Por que ela não publica junto do teste se a fábrica pagou ou não por ele?
