A traditional dance performance inspired by the cultural heritage of Arta, bringing local dances, customs and collective memories to life. Through music, movement and traditional costumes, the performance highlights the connection between past and present and the role of dance in preserving local identity across generations. The Athletic and Cultural Group of Students of Arta (A.P.O.F.A.) is a student association created to bring young people together through collaboration, creativity and collective expression. Today, the group is primarily active through its traditional dance ensemble, preserving Greek cultural heritage while creating a welcoming space for connection, participation and artistic expression within the student community.Guided by the values of culture, teamwork and inclusion, A.P.O.F.A. seeks to create shared experiences that strengthen relationships among students. At the same time, it remains open to new ideas, collaborations and initiatives that encourage active participation and enrich university life.
At TEDxArta 2026, the group presents a selection of traditional Greek dances and invites the audience to take part in short, interactive mini-workshops. Through this experience, A.P.O.F.A. demonstrates how tradition can continue to inspire, connect generations and remain a vibrant part of contemporary student life.
