LIVE: India Test Fires Agni Prime Missile From Rail Based Mobile Platform | N18G
India successfully test-fired an intermediate-range Agni-Prime missile on Thursday, from a rail-based mobile launch system. The missile can cover a range of up to 2,000 kilometres. This next-generation missile is equipped with advanced features, including state-of-the-art communication systems and enhanced protection mechanisms. The launch was witnessed by scientists from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and officers of the Strategic Forces Command (SFC). India’s Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, hailed the launch and congratulated DRDO, SFC, and the armed forces. This launch places India among the select nations that have developed a canisterised launch system capable of operating on a moving rail network. The new launcher allows cross-country mobility and launch within a short reaction time, with reduced visibility and without any preconditions.---
