Diketahui, lagu mereka yang berjudul 'Bayar Bayar Bayar' disorot karena isinya menyindir oknum polisi sampai ditarik ke peredaran.
Bahkan, dua personel Band Sukatani, Novi dan Lutfi sampai mengunggah video permintaan maaf ke Polri.
Menurut Mahfud MD, hal itu cukup mengkhawatirkan bagi penegakan konstitusi di Indonesia.
Karena menurutnya, mengkritik pemerintah bisa dilakukan dengan cara apapun.
Mahfud lantas menyebut adanya pungutan liar (pungli) di kepolisian sudah menjadi berita-berita umum di masyarakat.
"Memang siapa yang bisa membantah di polisi itu banyak pungli? Bawa SIM, nggak bawa SIM bayar," kata Mahfud alam podcast Terus Terang di kanal YouTube Mahfud MD Official, Selasa (25/2/2025).
Sehingga menurutnya, stereotipe pungli dan polisi ini tidak bisa dibantah.
