Kecelakaan ini terjadi di Jl Raya Sukabumi-Cianjur, Desa Bangbayang, Gekbrong, Cianjur.
Akibatnya, 15 orang meninggal dunia, 10 orang kritis dan 2 orang luka berat.
Menurut Koordinator Evakuasi SAR Cianjur, Ade Riswan, korban meninggal dunia di antaranya delapan orang laki-laki dan tujuh perempuan.
Awalnya, truk bermuatan oli itu mengalami rem blong hingga menabrak mayoritas karyawan pabrik GSI yang berada di dekat TKP.
Menurut saksi mata, truk melaju dengan kecepatan tinggi dari arah Sukabumi hingga akhirnya sopir truk hilang kendali.
Imbas melaju dengan kecepatan tinggi, truk itu menyeret puluhan motor sepanjang 30 meter dan berhenti seusai menabrak lima rumah.
