Jika tidak segera disuplai dari Amerika Serikat (AS), sistem ini diperkirakan akan gagal dalam 10 hingga 12 hari ke depan.
Dikutip dari Palestine Chronicle, kabar itu dikonfirmasi oleh sumber intelijen AS, Selasa (17/6).
Insiden ini membuktikan bahwa kemampuan Iron Dome mulai melemah dan Israel kini harus memilih target rudal yang ingin dicegat.
Meskipun Israel mengklaim telah mencegat 90 persen rudal Iran, sejumlah serangan telah menembus pertahanan dan menghantam target vital.
Sementara itu, rudal Iran dilaporkan menghantam markas pasukan Zionis dan kilang minyak di Haifa, Senin (16/6).
Bahkan sistem Arrow kewalahan hingga Iron Dome tak sanggup menepis rudal hipersonik dari Iran.
Selain itu, pakar rudal Israel, Tal Inbar, menyebut situasi ini bisa mempercepat dorongan untuk segera gencatan senjata.
Hal itu lantaran pasukan Zionis dikabarkan hampir kehabisan pencegat Iron Dome.
Dibandingkan sistem Arrow, Iron Dome dinilai terlalu lemah menghadapi rudal canggih Iran yang berkecepatan tinggi.
