Dua pejabat AS mengatakan pada Sabtu (29/6/2024) pemerintahan Biden diam-diam terlah mengirimkan 10.000 bom dan amunisi seberat 2.000 pon ke Israel.
Satu bom tersebut bisa menembus beton dan logam tebal.
Ledakkannya pun dapat tercipta dalam radius yang luas.
Adapun daftar bom yang dipasok AS untuk Israel diantaranya ada 14.000 bom MK-84 seberat 907,1 kg yang dapat menembus logam setinggi 38 cm atau beton setinggi 3,4 meter, dan bisa menyebabkan fragmentasi mematikan hingga radius 370 meter.
Kemudian ada 3.000 rudal Hellfire yang memiliki jarak tembak mencapai 8.000 meter dengan kecepatan Mach 1.3 (1.591 Km per jam).
Serta 1.000 bunker penghancur bom, 2.600 bom berdiameter kecil dan 6.500 bom seberat 226,7 kg.
Kendati dunia telah mengecam tindakan AS yang terus memasok senjata perang untuk Israel dalam melancarkan genosida massal di Gaza, namun hal tersebut tampaknya tak membuat AS mundur mendukung Tel Aviv tersebut.
Para ahli mengatakan isi kiriman tersebut tampak konsisten dengan kebutuhan Israel untuk mengisi kembali pasokan yang digunakan dalam kampanye militer intensif selama delapan bulan di Gaza.
Gedung Putih menolak berkomentar.
Sementara Kedutaan Besar Israel di Washington tidak segera menanggapi permintaan komentar tersebut.(*)
