Gubenur Gorontalo Nyatakan Tak Ada Tsunami Imbas Gempa Rusia, Ombak di Pesisir Mulai Mereda

Pernyataan tersebut disampaikan Gusnar dalam konferensi pers setelah memantau melalui zoom meeting bersama Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) dari Command Center Gubernuran Gorontalo pada Rabu (30/7/2025) sore.
“Di bagian selatan Gorontalo maupun Laut Sulawesi di bagian utara Anggrek, Kwandang, dan sekitarnya, tidak terjadi tsunami sebagai dampak dari gempa di Rusia. Sekarang kami masih tetap menunggu pengumuman resmi dari BMKG bahwa potensi tsunami dinyatakan berakhir,” ujar Gusnar.
Gubernur melakukan pemantauan yang berlangsung sejak peringatan dini dikeluarkan oleh BMKG.
Sebelumnya BMKG memprediksi potensi tsunami akibat gempa di pesisir Kamchatka, Rusia.
Diperkirakan tsunami mencapai wilayah Gorontalo pada pukul 16.39 Wita.
Namun hingga pukul 17.31 Wita, tidak terpantau adanya gelombang tsunami di wilayah tersebut.
Kendati demikian Gusnar mengimbau masyarakat tetap waspada namun tidak panik sambil menunggu pencabutan resmi peringatan tsunami dari BMKG.
Pemerintah Provinsi Gorontalo menegaskan akan terus berkoordinasi dengan BMKG dan memastikan keselamatan masyarakat tetap menjadi prioritas utama.
