VULKAN SAKURAJIMA IN JAPAN: Gewaltiger Ausbruch mit 4400-Meter-Aschewolke alarmiert Behörden!Auf der südjapanischen Insel Kyūshū ist in der Nacht zum Sonntag der Vulkan Sakurajima ausgebrochen. Aus dem Minami-dake-Krater stieg eine bis zu 4400 Meter hohe Aschewolke auf, zudem wurden Gesteinsbrocken ausgeworfen. Verletzte gab es nicht. Die Behörden warnen weiterhin vor Ascheregen und halten wegen eines beobachteten Lavaflusses die Alarmstufe 3 aufrecht. Sakurajima zählt zu den aktivsten Vulkanen Japans und ist seit einem Ausbruch im Jahr 1914 dauerhaft mit dem Festland verbunden. Die Region wird kontinuierlich überwacht.
