India has rejected the Pakistan-China Boundary Joint Commission, stating that the mechanism has no legal basis concerning territories that India considers part of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The development came after Pakistan and China held the inaugural meeting of the joint commission in Islamabad, with discussions covering border management, joint surveys, trade and connectivity.
But why is India objecting to the Pakistan-China border arrangement?
