We’ve got Mat in a tuned Ford Ranger Raptor, and it’s going up against the almighty Ford F-150 Raptor R! The question is, will the mods done to the Ranger Raptor give it enough to snatch the win? Let’s take a closer look at the stats.
Starting with the Ranger, it’s powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo V6, which has been tuned. As a result, it now produces 500hp and 700Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed auto gearbox, and it tips the scales at 2,478kg. As new with the upgrades, it costs £65,000.
Then we come to the F-150 Raptor R. It’s packing a 5.2-litre supercharged V8 which can put down 720hp and 860Nm. This power is sent to all four wheels via 10-speed auto, and it weighs in at a hefty 2,699kg. If you’re looking to buy one in the UK, it can be picked up from Clive Sutton for £140,000.
