Pernyataan tersebut membuat Presiden AS, Donald Trump marah di media sosialnya.
Dalam laporannya, badan intelijen Kementerian Pertahanan AS menyebut bahwa serangan AS pada Minggu (22/6/2025) tidak menghancurkan komponen inti program nuklir Iran.
Serangan itu disebut hanya merusak pintu masuk ke beberapa fasilitas nuklir.
Akan tetapi, bangunan bawah tanah tetap utuh.
Lebih lanjut, serangan itu dinilai hanya menghambat program nuklir dalam beberapa bulan.
Pernyataan intelijen AS ini lantas dikutip oleh sejumlah media.
Hal ini memicu kemarahan Trump dengan menyebut kabar tersebut ialah bohong.
Menurutnya, media-media besar di AS telah bekerja sama untuk mengkerdilkan salah satu serangan militer AS.
Pasalnya, Trump yakin, serangan militernya merupakan serangan paling berhasil dalam sejarah.
"Berita palsu CNN, bersama dengan New York Times yang gagal, telah bekerja sama dalam upaya untuk mengkerdilkan salah satu serangan militer paling berhasil dalam sejarah," tulis Trump.
Ia lantas kembali mengklaim bahwa situs nuklir di Iran telah hancur total.
Pemerintahan Trump juga terus membantah laporan yang mengatakan bahwa serangan AS terhadap Iran tidak menghilangkan program nuklirnya.
