La ampliación de las sanciones impuestas por Estados Unidos ha exacerbado la crisis económica que se vive en la isla y ha obligado a la población cubana a lidiar con cortes de luz, inflación y escasez de productos básicos.
Hablamos con la historiadora cubana-estadounidense Ada Ferrer sobre la difícil situación que se vive en la isla, quien reconoce los efectos devastadores provocados por el bloqueo estadounidense, pero señala que la prioridad del Gobierno cubano “no es el bienestar del pueblo cubano”.
Ferrer también habla sobre su nuevo libro, titulado “Keeper of My Kin: Memoir of an Immigrant Daughter” (Guardiana de mi estirpe. Memorias de una hija de inmigrantes).
