Seusai dideportasi, para aktivis internasional itu menceritakan momen saat ditahan Israel, para aktivis mengaku mendapat kekerasan dan 'diperlakukan seperti binatang'.
Armada Global Sumud Flotilla berlayar sejak bulan lalu untuk mengangkut bantuan ke Gaza yang dilanda perang.
Kapal-kapal ini mengangkut bantuan serta para politisi dan aktivis, termasuk aktivis Swedia Greta Thunberg.
Akan tetapi Israel memblokade kapal-kapal tersebut, serta menahan lebih dari 400 orang. Israel sebelumnya pada Jumat (3/10/2025) telah mendeportasi empat aktivis Italia.
Kemudian pada Sabtu (4/10), Israel mendeportasi 137 aktivis Global Sumud Flotilla dari 13 negara ke Turki.
137 aktivis yang diterbangkan ke Istanbul itu berasal dari beberapa negara seperti Italia, Amerika Serikat, Inggris, Swiss, Yordania dan negara lainnya, 36 di antaranya merupakan warga negara Turki.
Para aktivis diterbangkan ke Istanbul dengan pesawat Turkish Airlines yang disewa khusus.
Keluarga para aktivis Turki terlihat menunggu kedatangan mereka di ruang VIP di dalam bandara Istanbul, mereka mengibarkan bendera Turki dan Palestina serta meneriakkan "Israel pembunuh".
Seorang politisi Italia menceritakan momen Israel mencegat kapal Global Sumud Flotilla yang membawa bantuan kemanusiaan untuk Gaza tersebut.
Ia mengatakan sejumlah kapal terkena meriam air.
Kemudian penumpang kapal dibawa ke pantai oleh pasukan Israel.
"Mereka memaksa kami berlutut, tengkurap. Dan jika kami bergerak, mereka memukul kami. Mereka menertawakan, menghina, dan memukul kami," katanya.
"Mereka menggunakan kekerasan psikologis dan fisik," lanjutnya.
Romano mengatakan militer Israel juga mencoba memaksa penumpang yang terdiri dari aktivis dan politikus tersebut mengaku memasuki Israel secara ilegal.
