World Tracking Studio - Tutorial
Learn how to build your first 3D scene with World Tracking Studio, from setting up the app to bringing your recorded camera movement and room lighting into Blender.World Tracking Studio is an offline Android app for creating 3D scenes, with real-time motion tracking and HDRI creation. No account or cloud upload is needed.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to:
- Install the app and Blender add-on, then pair your phone.
- Calibrate the lens, measure the floor, place reference objects and record a shot.
- Generate an undistorted video and review your scene.
- Capture a 16K HDRI with five exposures per direction, clean the tripod from the floor and link the result to your scene.
- Send your work to Blender, export a Blender ZIP or use a USD workflow.
- Build the Blender scene, apply the room HDRI and play the recorded camera movement.
Requirements: Android 11 or newer. World Tracking requires Google Play Services for AR. The Blender add-on requires Blender 4.2 or newer. Available recording and HDRI resolutions depend on your phone. Export features require Plus.
