Lo ha detto, in sintesi, Jefferson Smith Echevarria Verano durante l'interrogatorio di convalida del fermo con la gip Sara Cipolla per l'omicidio del 22enne a Milano, in stazione Certosa. L'avvocato Stefano Afrune che assiste il giovane per cui è stata disposta la custodia cautelare in carcere chiarisce che ha "fornito una ricostruzione conforme al teorema accusatorio ma ha respinto con fermezza e lucidità l'accusa di aver accoltellato" la vittima. Secondo il racconto reso non ci sarebbe alcun scambio di persona dietro l'omicidio di Stazione Certosa ma più "momenti di tensione" che si sono consumati fra gang rivali il 26 maggio: i Latin King da una parte e la MS13 dall'altra. «Ha pertecipato a quella che doveva essere una rissa», spiega il difensore, sottolineando come un primo sconto fra pandilla si sia verificato intorno alle 17. Al successivo scontro fra le 21 e le 22 «lui è arrivato quando l'azione era terminata» senza fornire alcun «contributo materiale né morale» all'omicidio e la sua "versione genuina" si "sposa con quelle che sono le risultanze oggettive che ci sono". Il 19enne ha dichiarato di "aver perso gli occhiali indicando il punto preciso in cui ciò sarebbe avvenuto". Una circostanza che, se confermata, aprirebbe "a scenari importanti", dice l'avvocato. Il difensore si dice convinto di credere alla versione dello scontro fra bande perché "sin dal giorno dopo sono circolate in rete vere e proprie gravi minacce fatte dalla pandilla rivale contro il mio assistito e i suoi familiari".
