TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM-Stadion Mahacandra Universitas Cenderawasih (Uncen) yang terletak di Perumnas III, Waena, Kota Jayapura, merupakan salah satu venue peninggalan Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) XX Papua tahun 2021.
TerKini, kondisinya mulai dilengkapi kembali untuk digunakan.
"Stadion ini dulunya jadi kebanggaan saat PON, dan sekarang mulai ditata ulang," ujar seorang warga Waena kepada Tribun Papua.
Berdasarkan pantauan Tribun Papua di lapangan, lampu stadion, rumput, serta perlengkapan lainnya telah terpasang dan dalam kondisi baik. Namun, bangku cadangan untuk pemain dan pelatih tampak rusak dan tidak layak pakai.(*)
