Fokus utama adalah menghentikan pertempuran sementara, membebaskan sandera, dan melakukan pertukaran tahanan.
Bantuan kemanusiaan dalam jumlah besar juga menjadi bagian pembahasan.
Gaza saat ini menghadapi krisis pangan, air bersih, dan layanan medis.
Rencana ini juga mencakup kemungkinan pembahasan perlucutan senjata Hamas, meski isu ini dianggap sensitif dan berpotensi memicu perbedaan pendapat.
Menteri Luar Negeri Mesir, Badr Abdelatty, menyatakan optimisme tercapainya kesepakatan penuh jika kedua pihak menunjukkan kemauan politik.

Sejak 2024, Hamas dan Israel telah beberapa kali mengadakan perundingan di Kairo.
Namun, beberapa di antaranya berakhir buntu.
Bulan lalu, pembicaraan sempat gagal setelah delegasi Israel dan AS menarik diri dari meja perundingan di Doha.
Mereka menilai tuntutan Hamas terlalu berat, termasuk gencatan senjata permanen dan penarikan pasukan.
