KOMPAS.TV - Kerajaan Arab Saudi telah menyelesaikan sebagian besar bangunan area perluasan ketiga atau The Third Saudi Expansion di Masjidil Haram. Bangunan ini akan menambah kapasitas Masjidil Haram hingga dua kali lipat.

Area perluasan ini dapat diakses melalui Pintu 114, yang terletak tak jauh dari Terminal Jabal Kakbah. Lantai dasar area perluasan telah dibuka untuk umum, dan jemaah haji dapat beribadah di dalamnya.

Sementara itu, lantai atas area perluasan masih dalam tahap pengerjaan. Proyek ini akan meningkatkan luas area Masjidil Haram dari 414.000 meter persegi menjadi 1,5 juta meter persegi.
