Hal ini disampaikan Araghchi menanggapi kemarahan Perdana Menteri Israel Benjamin Netanyahu gara-gara rumah sakitnya hancur dibom Iran.
Berbicara di Swiss pada Jumat (20/6/2025), Araghchi menyebut kemarahan Netanyahu sebagai sesuatu yang menggelikan.
Menurutnya, pengeboman saja tidak cukup diberikan kepada Israel, setelah apa yang dilakukannya terhadap Gaza.
"Mendengar ratapan seperti itu dari rezim yang dengan sengaja mengebom RS di Gaza agak menggelikan," kata Araghchi kepada AP, dikutip dari Kompas.com, Sabtu (21/6/2025).
Araghchi menambahkan, Israel harusnya berkaca karena mereka juga melakukan pengeboman terhadap rumah sakit.
Bahkan, pasukan Israel tak ragu menembaki pasien hingga tenaga medis Gaza.
Menurut Araghchi, sikap Israel saat ini jelas menunjukkan bahwa mereka berpura-pura menjadi korban di panggung internasional.
"Rezim yang sama itu berpura-pura menjadi korban di panggung internasional. Terus terang ini agak menggelikan," ujar Araghchi.
Sebelumnya, Netanyahu marah-marah setelah rudal Iran menghantam Soroka Medical Center, Kamis (19/6/2025).
Serangan tersebut menyebabkan kerusakan parah pada bangunan, 240 orang terluka, dan empat di antaranya mengalami luka serius.
Netanyahu mengatakan bahwa Iran akan membayar harga mahal atas serangan tersebut.
"Kami akan menuntut harga penuh dari para tiran di Teheran," kata Netanyahu
