Salah satu insiden terburuk terjadi di sebuah panti jompo di distrik Miyun, Beijing.
Sebanyak 31 orang dilaporkan tewas akibat banjir.
Wakil Wali Kota Beijing, Xia Linmao, dalam konferensi pers pada Kamis, (31/7/2025) menyatakan bahwa total korban meninggal telah mencapai 44 orang, dengan sembilan lainnya masih hilang.
Hujan deras mengguyur Beijing sejak pekan lalu dan memuncak pada 28 Juli.
Ini merupakan banjir terparah yang melanda Beijing dalam beberapa tahun terakhir.
Provinsi Hebei yang berbatasan langsung dengan Beijing juga terdampak.
Sebanyak 16 orang dilaporkan tewas dan 18 lainnya masih hilang.
Setidaknya delapan korban jiwa ditemukan di sejumlah desa di wilayah Xinglong.
Wilayah ini juga berada dekat dengan Waduk Miyun, waduk terbesar di bagian utara China yang menjadi perhatian dalam situasi banjir.
