Il mega yacht Boardwalk dell’ambasciatore americano Tilmann Fertitta è arrivato a Venezia. Nel pomeriggio si attende la protesta lanciata dai centri sociali, «Venezia non si Usa» contro la «politica guerrafondaia trumpiana» e contro Fertitta «multimiliardario che detiene il ruolo di ambasciatore dopo aver ampiamente finanziato la campagna elettorale di Trump». Lo yacht è arrivato a mezzogiorno scortato da barche della Guardia di Finanza e da moto d’acqua della Polizia: alto 32 metri e lungo 117, è dotato di due elicotteri e costa 500 milioni di dollari. Ha attraccato in riva Sette Martiri davanti al giardino della Marinaressa ed è sorvegliato a vista da terra e dall’acqua. Lo yacht batte bandiera italiana e americana e a poppa sventola la bandiera delle Isole Cayman (red insign). Molti cittadini e turisti si sono fermati a guardarlo al di là della transenna che impedisce a chiunque di avvicinarsi.
