💬 ¿Cómo puede un inversor ganar un 1.500% con la inteligencia artificial y perder un 67% en un solo mes por culpa del apalancamiento financiero?Leopold Aschenbrenner, antiguo investigador de OpenAI, construyó el hedge fund Situational Awareness apostando por los grandes cuellos de botella de la IA: chips, memoria, almacenamiento, centros de datos y energía.
Su estrategia llegó a multiplicar por 16 el capital de sus inversores. Pero utilizó un apalancamiento cercano a cuatro veces: por cada dólar propio, invertía otros tres prestados.
Cuando las acciones relacionadas con la inteligencia artificial comenzaron a caer, los margin calls lo obligaron a liquidar posiciones. La paradoja es que muchas de esas empresas rebotaron con fuerza inmediatamente después.
