Sementara, Direktur Jenderal UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, mengatakan keputusan Washington "sangat" disesalkan.
Namun, organisasi kebudayaan tersebut sebelumnya telah mempersiapkan diri untuk itu.
Ia mengatakan, klaim tersebut bertentangan dengan realitas upaya UNESCO.
Khususnya di bidang pendidikan Holocaust dan perjuangan melawan antisemitisme
Dilaporkan, sebelumnya di bawah pemerintahan Joe Biden , AS bergabung kembali dengan UNESCO dua tahun lalu.
