L’Hantavirus ha “un R0 di 1”, quindi “non ha una grande capacità di diffusione a livello interumano”, soprattutto se confrontato con morbillo e Covid. Il virologo invita comunque alla prudenza per il focolaio sviluppatosi a bordo di una nave con passeggeri provenienti da 23 nazioni: “Qualcuno era già sceso e quindi ritornato a casa propria”.
