Permintaan maaf itu disampaikan dalam rapat bersama Kemendagri, Kementerian ATR/BPN, BNPP dan DKPP di Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta pada Rabu (3/9/2025).
"Mohon maaf kalau hari ini kita semua dalam posisi yang harus menyadari bahwa kita bekerja dalam pengawasan rakyat yang tidak pernah tidur," ujar Rifqi.
Rifqi memahami betul demo yang terjadi belakangan ini adalah bentuk kemarahan rakyat kepada anggota dewan.
Ia pun mengimbau kepada seluruh anggota dan jajaran pemerintah untuk bekerja dengan baik dan berbenah untuk kepentingan rakyat.
"Mudah-mudahan empati kita bisa kita hidupkan dari apa yang terjadi belakangan ini," imbuhnya.
