Heavy Rains Hit Delhi-NCR, Parts of Northern India, Red Alert Issued | N18GHeavy rainfall lashed the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) on Thursday morning, resulting in waterlogging and massive traffic. The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for very heavy rain, which is likely to continue till August 17. Monsoon has intensified in other parts of North India as well. In Uttar Pradesh (UP), the Weather department has issued an orange alert, with rain or thundershowers expected in the western and eastern parts of the state. Flash floods hit the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh after a cloudburst. An Orange alert has been issued in Uttarakhand, with heavy rain expected in parts of the state from August 14 to 17.
