Sumber-sumber Israel pada hari Sabtu mengonfirmasi bahwa pihak berwenang terkait telah mulai memindahkan tahanan Palestina yang akan dibebaskan dari penjara-penjara Israel.
Sebagai imbalannya, Hamas dilaporkan telah memulai persiapan untuk pembebasan sisa sandera Israel pada hari Senin.
Sebelumnya, Perdana Menteri Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, menegaskan bahwa semua sandera, "hidup dan mati," akan dikembalikan.

Kementerian Kehakiman Israel telah menerbitkan daftar 250 nama yang akan dibebaskan.
Namun, daftar tersebut tidak mencakup beberapa pemimpin Palestina terkemuka yang dituntut pembebasannya oleh Hamas, seperti Marwan Barghouti, Ahmed Saadat, dan Hassan Salameh.
Saat ini, masih ada 48 orang yang ditahan di Gaza: 20 masih hidup, 26 tewas, dan dua jenazah masih belum ditemukan.
