MESSERATTENTAT IN TRIER: Schupelius kritisiert das Schweigen in Deutschland nach dem MordDie stellvertretende WELT-Politikchefin Dorothea Schupelius kritisiert die politische und mediale Reaktion auf den Mord in Trier. Dort wurde der 22-jährige Student Marius Dick am helllichten Tag mit einem Küchenmesser erstochen. Seine Eltern fordern Konsequenzen. Sie erklären, Deutschland müsse seine Bürger besser vor solchen Taten schützen.
Schupelius verweist auch auf einen Messerfall in Ruhpolding. Dort bedrohte ein Afghane Kinder und einen Regionalzugschaffner. Der abgelehnte Asylbewerber war der Polizei bekannt. Wegen eines Abschiebestopps blieb er in Deutschland.
Sie fordert Antworten von Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz und der CDU. Es gehe um Kontrolle, Aufenthaltsstatus, psychische Erkrankungen und den Schutz der Bevölkerung.
Im Sommerinterview beklagte Merz Nörgelei und das Kaputtreden Deutschlands. Schupelius sieht die Vertrauenskrise dagegen in gebrochenen Wahlversprechen, der Brandmauer-Debatte und der Kommunikation der Regierung.
Außerdem verteidigt sie das ZDF. Der Sender hatte einen Auftritt von Danger Dan in „Die Anstalt“ abgesagt. Der Musiker sollte dort sein Lied „Keine Angst“ aufführen. Das ZDF sah darin einen Gewaltaufruf. Schupelius teilt diese Bewertung und verweist auf Textstellen über Polizei, Faschos und die Vermeidung von Spuren.
