All’Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone è in corso, come da tradizione durante le feste natalizie, il «Roma Gospel Festival», con la direzione artistica di Mario Ciampà. Martedì 23 dicembre, sul palco della sala Sinopoli piena, l’energia del Charleston Gospel Choir, il prestigioso ensemble proveniente dalla città del South Carolina, uno degli Stati Usa dove la tradizione musicale religiosa afroamericana è più radicata. Gruppo diretto da Anthony “Tony” Washington, autore di tutti gli arrangiamenti e voce solista del coro della chiesa battista The Abundant Life Tabernacle di Charleston. Tra gospel tradizionale, rhythm & blues e funky, l’ensemble ha trasportato il numeroso pubblico in sala in un viaggio musicale energico, gioioso e spirituale. Un’ora e trenta di concerto con il pubblico entusiasta. Il festival proseguirà il giorno di Natale con un doppio appuntamento, pomeridiano e serale, con il celebre Harlem Gospel Choir da New York.
