ILLEGALE MIGRATION: Abschieberate auf Rekordhoch - So hart greift die EU jetzt durch!Die EU verschärft ihre Migrationspolitik: 2025 wurden deutlich mehr illegale Migranten aus den 27 EU-Staaten abgeschoben als in den Vorjahren. Die Abschieberate liegt nun bei 27 Prozent – der höchste Wert seit 2019. EU-Migrationskommissar Magnus Brunner kündigt weitere Maßnahmen an, darunter gekürzte Leistungen für ausreisepflichtige Migranten, Haft bei Fluchtgefahr und die gegenseitige Anerkennung von Abschiebebescheiden. Auch Asylzentren in Drittstaaten sind geplant. Welt-Korrespondent Christoph Schelze ordnet ein, wie schnell die Reformen greifen, welche politischen Mehrheiten dahinterstehen und warum die Umsetzung vor allem auf europäischer Ebene entschieden wird.
