Diketahui setelah membunyikan bel pintu rumah ia melanjutkan aksinya menjelajahi bak mandi air panas.
Dilansir dari New York Post, Rabu (16/7), dalam sebuah video kamera pengawas, beruang terlihat mengendus bel pintu dan berdiri di kaki belakangnya untuk menekannya.
Ia lalu mengintip ke jendela, seolah menunggu seseorang datang membukakan pintu.
Saat bel berbunyi, beruang mundur terkejut namun tetap menjelajah halaman rumah.
Ia kembali berdiri saat melihat bak mandi, mencoba membukanya dengan cakar dan mulutnya.
Ketika gagal, beruang itu berjalan santai menjauhi teras menuju bagian lain halaman.
Pemilik rumah, Jay Lievens, menyebut kejadian cukup menghibur dan menyatakan setidaknya sang beruang “sopan” dengan membunyikan bel.
Beruang hitam umum di New Hampshire, dengan populasi diperkirakan mencapai 5.000 ekor.
Meski umumnya jinak, warga tetap diimbau berhati-hati karena beruang adalah predator alami.
Departemen satwa liar menyebut belum ada kematian akibat serangan beruang hitam di negara bagian itu sejak 1784 silam.
