Sampah Jakarta Masuk ke TPS Ilegal, Bukan TPST Bantar Gebang, Siapa yang Diuntungkan?
BEKASI, KOMPAS.TV - Rumitnya pengolahan sampah berskala besar memicu timbulnya praktik curang.Tak jauh dari tempat pengolahan sampah terpadu, TPST Bantar Gebang, Kota Bekasi, Jawa Barat, muncul beberapa titik gunungan sampah liar atau ilegal.
Diduga ada pihak-pihak yang mengambil keuntungan dari kemunculan tempat pembuangan sampah ilegal ini.
Dari gambar kamera udara, terlihat lokasi pembuangan sampah ilegal bersebelahan dengan TPST Bantar Gebang dan berbatasan dengan kebun serta permukiman warga.
Lokasi TPS liar ini berada di Desa Taman Rahayu, Kecamatan Setu, Kabupaten Bekasi.
Sampah yang dibuang ke TPS liar ini merupakan sampah yang sudah tidak bernilai setelah sebelumnya dipilah dahulu sampah yang bernilai ekonomis seperti plastik, kertas dan logam.
Sampah yang dibuang ke TPS liar tiap hari bisa mencapai ribuan ton dan mayoritas sampah berasal dari Jakarta.
Berdasarkan data sampah nasional, timbulan sampah tahun 2023 mencapai 56,63 juta ton.
Dari jumlah tersebut, hanya 39,01 persen atau 22,09 juta ton sampah yang terkelola.
Sementara itu, 60,99 persen atau 34,54 juta ton sampah tidak terkelola.
Dari jumlah sampah yang tidak terkelola, mengolah sampah di kota besar seperti Jakarta memang tidaklah mudah.
Ketersediaan lahan pembuangan tidak berbanding lurus dengan jumlah sampah harian yang dihasilkan.
Maka tak heran, celah ini dimanfaatkan sejumlah pihak untuk mengambil keuntungan dari pengelolaan sampah.
Untuk membahas persoalan ini, sudah bergabung Ketua Koalisi Persampahan Nasional, Bagong Suyoto dan Pakar Tata Kota, Nirwono Yoga.
