Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi mengatakan, total kerugian dari aksi perusuh saat demo itu mencapai Rp 80 miliar.
Pernyataan itu disampaikan oleh Kombes Ade saat konferensi pers di Mapolda Metro Jaya, pada Selasa (2/9).
Kerusakan yang terjadi akibat aksi anarkis itu meliputi 37 fasilitas umum hingga sejumlah prasarana kepolisian.
Selain itu sejumlah rumah warga juga turut menjadi sasaran amukan perusuh saat aksi anarkistis terjadi.
“Aksi anarkis yang terjadi di beberapa titik Jakarta menimbulkan kerugian besar, baik dari fasilitas publik maupun fasilitas kepolisian,” ujar Ade Ary.
Kombes Ade mengatakan aksi anarkis itu dipicu oleh penyebaran ajakan melalui akun media sosial milik enam tersangka yang saat ini sedang dalam pemeriksaan polisi.
Menurut polisi, enam akun media sosial itu mereka gunakan untuk menghasut pelajar dan masyarakat agar ikut dalam kerusuhan.
Bahkan ada yang menyiarkan secara langsung serta membagikan tutorial pembuatan bom molotov.
