Pengumuman ini disampaikan oleh Xi Jinping dalam Forum Kerjasama China dan Negara Arab pada Kamis (30/5/2024) di Beijing.
Adapun dalam forum tersebut dihadiri oleh empat kepala negara dari kawasan Timur Tengah.
Yakni Raja Bahrain Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Presiden Mesir Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Presiden Tunisia Kais Saied, dan Presiden Uni Emirat Arab (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Dikatakan oleh Xi bahwa kawasan Timur Tengah memiliki prospek pembangunan yang luas.
Sayangnya perang terus terjadi di wilayah tersebut, termasuk perang Israel -Palestina yang dimulai pada Oktober 2023 lalu.
Xi pun menekankan bahwa perang tak boleh berlanjut dan keadilan tak boleh hilang selamanya.
Ia juga menyerukan solusi dua negara.
Terkait dengan hal tersebut, China pun dengan tegas mendukung pembentukan negara Palestina dan keanggotaan penuh di PBB.
