Serangan tersebut merupakan respons atas pengeboman yang dilakukan AS terhadap fasilitas nuklir Iran akhir pekan lalu.
Dikutip dari Sky News, kepanikan terlihat di salah satu pusat perbelanjaan di Kota Doha.
Pengunjung berlari sambil berteriak ketika mendengar peringatan adanya serangan rudal.
Meski sempat memicu kepanikan, Qatar memastikan bahwa pertahanan udaranya berhasil mencegat rudal Iran yang diarahkan ke pangkalan militer AS.
Negara tersebut sebelumnya juga telah menutup wilayah udaranya untuk sementara waktu guna memastikan keselamatan penduduk dan pengunjung.
Dikutip dari Al Arabiya, Pangkalan Udara Militer Al Udeid di Qatar merupakan instalasi terbesar AS di Timur Tengah dan markas terdepan Komando Pusat Pentagon.
Diperkirakan ada 10 ribu personel militer AS yang ditempatkan di pangkalan tersebut.
Namun, Presiden AS Donald Trump memastikan semuanya aman dan tidak ada korban.
Ia mengklaim bahwa Iran telah memberi tahu AS dan otoritas Qatar beberapa jam sebelum pangkalannya diserang.
