У містечку Сеута на півночі Африки, яке відділяє від материкової Іспанії Гібралтарська протока, – рекордний наплив нелегалів із Марокко. 22 країни Євросоюзу розкритикували міграційну політику Мадриду. Вважають її однією із причин кризи. Деякі європейські лідери навіть закликали тимчасово обмежити шенгенські привілеї Іспанії.
