Prevention in health for workplace wellbeing | Anna Reddy | TEDxUniversity of Greater Manchester

Prevention in Health for Workplace Wealth empowers individuals and organisations to challenge workplace norms that undermine both wellbeing and performance. The Keep Britain working report highlights that employers face losing an estimated £85 billion annually, due to lost output and costs linked to ill health. This talk highlights why prevention must become a core business strategy. Discover the science-backed READY method exploring Rest & Recovery, Eat to Energise, Activity, Distraction Management, and You, to drive sustainable energy, productivity, and workplace success through simple small steps that drive high return on investment, and make health and wealth contagious across the workplace. During 18 years in Pharmaceuticals, I translated complex science into meaningful, practical messages to help healthcare professionals across multiple disease areas improve patient care. This gave me a deep appreciation of the time and resource constraints within the NHS to educate, empower, and motivate individuals towards preventative health, alongside the opportunity for workplaces to take ownership of this. For years, I went against the grain by prioritising wellbeing as a catalyst for performance, long before the two were linked. Six years ago, I founded my own company, bringing my strength of turning complex health science into simple, actionable, positive workplace change. My READY Method has been applied with positive results across Life Sciences, the NHS, Finance, Law, and Education. Focused on rest, nutrition, movement, focus, and self-awareness, it turns science into Actionable sense, challenges the norm, and champions “Prevention in Health as a Catalyst for Workplace Wealth" This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
