France has voted in the second round of snap legislative polls initiated by President Emmanuel Macron following his centrist alliance's significant defeat in the European elections. Exit polls indicate that the left wing coalition has successfully prevented the far right National Rally from gaining power. The National Popular Front (NFP) is set to become the largest party in parliament, relegating the National Rally, which led in the first round, to third place.
