La Comisión de Seguridad Nacional y Política Exterior del Parlamento iraní afirma que el estrecho de Ormuz no puede abrirse sin el consentimiento de Teherán. Su presidente, Ebrahim Azizi, señala que los adversarios están recurriendo a acciones maliciosas porque no pueden desbloquear el estrecho. Por su parte, el vicepresidente de EE. UU., JD Vance, afirma que los flujos de petróleo y gas que salen del estrecho han vuelto casi a los niveles previos al conflicto, con unos 15 millones de barriles solo el miércoles. Afirma, además, que EE. UU. es el único país del mundo capaz de controlar el estrecho. Por su parte, el Mando Central de EE. UU. afirma que su Armada seguirá aplicando estrictamente su bloqueo contra Irán.
