Zamir menyatakan, selama perang tersebut pasukan komando Tel Aviv melakukan operasi secara rahasia jauh di dalam wilayah Iran.
Pernyataan itu disampaikan Eyal Zamir dalam pidatonya, Rabu (25/6).
"Kami berhasil mengendalikan sepenuhnya wilayah udara Iran dan di setiap lokasi yang kami pilih untuk beroperasi," kata kepala staf Eyal Zamir dalam pidato yang disiarkan televisi.
Menurutnya, hal itu dapat menciptakan kebebasan bertindak operasional bagi militer Israel.
Hal itu bisa terjadi karena adanya koordinasi, tipu daya taktis yang dilakukan Angkatan Udara dan unit komando daratnya.
“Hal ini dapat terwujud berkat, antara lain, koordinasi dan tipu daya taktis yang dilakukan oleh satuan komando darat dan angkatan udara kita,” imbuhnya.
“Pasukan tersebut beroperasi secara rahasia di dalam wilayah musuh dan menciptakan kebebasan bertindak operasional bagi kami.”
Menurut Zamir, operasi ini belum selesai dan pasukannya saat ini masih waspada.
Zamir juga mengatakan, masih banyak tantangan yang menanti.
Sebagai informasi, kedua negara saling menyatakan kemenangan seusai gencatan senjata tercapai pada Selasa (24/6).
Presiden Amerika Serikat, Donald Trump menyebut, konflik antara Iran dan Israel telah berakhir.
Bahkan, Trump menilai perang antara kedua negara itu tak akan saling membalas.
Meski demikian, ada kemungkinan konflik akan berlanjut, namun tidak sekarang.
