You will understand the music theory behind the Whole Tone scale and, crucially, how and when to use it. Practising these and other musical scales, always emphasising rhythmic accuracy and dynamic control, will significantly improve technique.
This lesson focuses on the Whole Tone scale and Augmented Chord. A non-diatonic scale and chord based exclusively on major 3rd intervals. This is an advanced scale, both in terms of harmony and in the context of chord progressions and melodies. The inherent dissonance will help to develop and train the musical ear.
