Pendataan ini, kata Abdul Mu'ti, akan dilakukan menyeluruh ke sekolah negeri maupun swasta.
"Jadi begini, kami memang sekarang setelah nanti SPMB semuanya selesai kita akan mendata secara nasional murid di sekolah-sekolah baik negeri maupun swasta," ujar Abdul Mu'ti saat meninjau pelaksanaan Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Satuan Pendidikan (MPLS) di SMAN 39 Jakarta Timur, Rabu (16/7/2025).
Abdul Mu'ti mengatakan pendataan ini dilakukan menyusul temuan minimnya siswa pada sejumlah sekolah.
Bahkan, Abdul Mu'ti mengungkapkan ada sekolah dasar (SD) di Pandeglang, Banten yang tidak memiliki siswa baru sama sekali.
Temuan lain mengenai minimnya siswa juga terjadi di daerah lain.
"Ada yang malah tidak ada muridnya sama sekali. Saya dapat dari berita, saya baca di Pandeglang itu ada SD yang zero, yang muridnya tidak ada sama sekali. Ada di Solo 1 murid, ada yang 2 murid," ungkapnya.
Dirinya mengungkapkan melalui pendataan, sekolah yang minim siswa akan diketahui pada sistem.
