Jusuf Kalla Turun Gunung Temui Ismail Haniyeh di Doha, Diminta Memediasi Konflik Israel-Hamas

Pertemuan JK dan Ismail Haniyeh berlangsung selama dua jam.
Diketahui, pertemuan keduanya membahas kondisi terkini Palestina.
Dalam kesempatan itu, JK juga menyampaikan harapannya ke pemimpin Hamas tersebut untuk segera berkonsiliasi dengan kelompok Fatah agar bersatu.
Dalam pertemuan tersebut, turut hadir mendampingi JK yakni Duta Besar RI untuk Qatar, Ridwan Hassan, dan eks Menkumham Hamid Alawudin.
Sebelumnya diketahui, Hamas disebut meminta JK membantu memediasi konflik di Palestina menyusul upaya gencatan senjata di Jalur Gaza.
Permintaan itu disampaikan dalam pertemuan JK dengan Pejabat Biro Politik sekaligus Wakil Kepala Urusan Internasional Hamas, Bassem Naim di Malaysia pada 6 Mei 2024 lalu.
Diketahui, dalam pertemuan itu, Bassem Naim meminta JK memediasi kelompoknya dan Israel guna mengakhiri perang.
Tak hanya itu, Naim juga membeberkan aksi pembantaian dan genosida yang dilakukan Israel terhadap warga Palestina di Gaza.
Seperti diketahui perang yang dimulai sejak 7 Oktober 2023 lalu itu belum menemui titik terang.
